There will be no school on Friday, October 26th 6th: We will work on vocabulary for chapters 9-12. The link is in google classroom, so students can study their words. Test will be on Monday, October 26th. We are continuing to read Percy Jackson. 7th: We finished reading ¨Among the Hidden¨ and will work on an in-class activity this week. We will also test over static/dynamic characters as well. 8th: We will finish the movie 12 Angry Men. Then, we will continue working on foreshadowing lessons. Test will be Wednesday. 6th: We are working on a Greek mythology project in groups. We are working on chapters 5-8 vocabulary. They test will be Tuesday, October 9th. We are working on ¨mini lessons¨ over theme. We are reading the book in-class with quickwrites/quizzes for each chapter. 7th: We will have a vocabulary test over chapters 16-20 on Friday. I uploaded the link, so they can study their work in addition to their google document they have. We are working on ¨POV¨ in class. Friday we wlll have a test over it, and they can use their notes. We will finish through chapter 20 on Wednesday. 8th: We finished ¨Monster¨ last week in class. Now, we are working on 3 projects. 1: in-class book review(tone, mood, symbolism, etc) 2: Bio-Poem over a character in the book in-class 3: We will create a CD based on themes found in ¨Monster¨. As a group, we will think of 5 themes, 2 songs for each theme, and an explanation why those themes/songs were picked and are relevant to the book. Then, we will create a CD cover when finished. We will start that later thies week. |
